Ray-500
Is there any way Quick can be set up on a schedule? It is programmable in just about every other way, but I can't see how it can be set up on a schedule. The normal Defrag takes too long, and, given the available settings for it, the Quick would be Super if it could be scheduled.
Moderators DennisD Posted August 29, 2011 Moderators Share Posted August 29, 2011 Hi Ray, and welcome to Piriform. I think you can do that. Use the "df.exe" file in Defragglers "Programs Files" folder, and set a schedule as shown here ... All Command-line parameters here: http://www.piriform.com/docs/defraggler/advanced-usage/command-line-parameters Hope that helps.
Super Fast
Although, wouldn't it be easier if Defraggler just included it in the settings/schedule area? Would be great to be able to simply click Full Defrag, or Quick Defrag in a single click! Having to copy & pastes commands begs a lot of boredom, & possible mess ups... It's really great that u can do that though. I thought of trying it later, but it just don't really appeal to me having to use no GUI. Hopefully, they will + this to Defraggler scheduler! jeffrandall
Yes, you can use Windows Task Scheduler and the commandline parameters to schedule a QF, but I don't understand the resistance to adding the option to the DF settings/schedule feature. Why not just do it?
