No Disk in Drive

I believe this topic was previously addressed but couldn't find it doing a search. When I run CC I get an error message that there is no disk in the drive, please insert one. But that's not the only problem. If I don't insert a disk I can't cancel it, I have to use task manager to end the process tree and then right-click the icon on my task bar and select "close window". Has this issued been resolved?
