YupoWert
In CCleaner there is an application option to clean the "Remote Desktop", however, this does not affect the Terminal Services Client (MSTSC.EXE) history - orignally part of Windows XP, but now renamed to the Remote Desktop Services client v7 available as a free download, used for Remote Desktop & Terminal Services connections. support.microsoft.com/kb/969084 It stores its connection history in: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Default] This is not currently being cleaned by CCleaner - it would be great to include into the next release Many thanks Yupo
Moderators Nergal Posted February 2, 2011 Moderators Share Posted February 2, 2011 This is already cleaned in ccleaner byt default [Remote Desktop] ID=2063 LangSecRef=3025 Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client Default=True FileKey1=%localappdata%\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Cache|*.* RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Default ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
