Moderators Nergal Posted November 8, 2010 Moderators Share Posted November 8, 2010 I've stated this often lately but here I go again. Whether or not you use Internet Explorer as a web browser, IE's engine (trident) is DEEPLY intigrated into windows and many windows softwares, this is where these files come from. Everything from your desktop background to microsoft office to many RSS readers to etc etc use "Internet explorer" without a user even knowing. Any help system which is run of Vista or Windows Seven is also using "IE" and most in windows XP Hope that answer helps clear somethings up (This really should be in FAQs) ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
