CC for new FLOCK 3

Asher

Recommended Posts

So I've moved to the new Flock 3 (based on Chrome browser), but

CCleaner doesn't clean it. A while back I remember seeing a

config file (I think) which cleaned the IRON browser.

Can

someone help me set up Flock3 cleaning?

Please look in C:\Program Files\Flock (or whatever Flock's folder name is) and C:\Documents and Settings\<your name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Flock and see if there is some folder related to user data (it should be in the folder name) :)

What is the Flock exe name ? Flock.exe ?

Yes. Flock.exe is in the application folder, not the flock folder however. The Flock folder contains only the 6 folders

I mentioned before.

I tried having CC clean the cache files inside the userdata folders, but that screwed up my passwords, extensions and bookmarks...

Thanks for the info... :)

I've made winapp2.ini sections for Flock 3.0

Open Notepad, paste the following code into it, and save it as winapp2.ini (all files).

Now place the file on the CCleaner folder.

[Flock 3 - Cache]
Section=Flock 3
LangRef=Cache
DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Flock\Application\flock.exe
Default=True
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default\Cache|*.*

[Flock 3 - Cookies]
Section=Flock 3
LangRef=Cookies
DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Flock\Application\flock.exe
Default=True
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default|Cookies

[Flock 3 - History]
Section=Flock 3
LangRef=History
DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Flock\Application\flock.exe
Default=True
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default|*History*
FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default|Thumbnails
FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default|Visited Links

[Flock 3 - Form Data]
Section=Flock 3
LangRef=Form Data
DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Flock\Application\flock.exe
Default=True
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default|Web Data

[Flock 3 - Session Restore]
Section=Flock 3
LangRef=Session Restore
DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Flock\Application\flock.exe
Default=True
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default|Current*
FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Flock\User Data\Default|Last*

Thank You!

That sorta worked after I changed the user data to userdata-76472-KVC-Flock. Which is my flock

profile, which you create when you first log on. Unfortunately this also erased all of my extensions

and settings. I posted the problem on the flock forum... I can't figure out why it would do that! :blink:

It was working for me when I tested it. I did not create a Flock account though.

I assume that the "userdata-76472-KVC-Flock" folder stores only your flock account data,

and not the regular cache, cookies stuff.
