zulu
I have been using Defraggler to good effect for quite some time & have recently upgraded to a new machine with Windows 7Pro, I am using Defraggler version 1.19.192 & am finding that the System Volume Information files are not being defragged, all(about 7files) amount to nearly 10Gb, Defraggler always defragged everything in XP & I'm wondering why its now omitting these particular files - I'm very much computer literate, but have no indepth knowledge of computer science. Thanks
Aethec
They are System Restore Points - they can't be defragmented. Add C:\System Volume Information\ to Defraggler's Exclude list Piriform French translator
zulu
Strange this didn't crop up when defragging WinXP? but many thanks for your help! Aethec
I think this is because of XP's primitive notion of "security" - it allows the admin to do anything. Piriform French translator
