Not on your life. There are too many wanring out about it. Better to replace CC with something else.

 

Microsoft will end WinXP SP2 support in July. SP3 will not harm your computer, only help protecting it.

I have Framework SP3.5 SP1. Maybe not the same one we're talking about.

Aethec is referring to XP SP3. You should really do this for security reasons - there's absolutely no reason not to.

 

The current Service Pack for .Net Framework 3.5 is SP1, so you're up-to-date there.

 

Edited to add: incidentally, this is a complete aside from your original problem ... just a separate suggestion.

Okay, had MS come in to check for updates I'm missing. It didn't find any so I'm up to date whether I know it or not.

One way to check your OS SP level is to right-click 'My Computer' and hit 'Properties' ... you'll see it there.
