dp1974
Hi all, I'm running CCleaner on a Vista Home Premium 64-bit OS. Usually works like a dream, buy in the past few days, CCleaner has shown I have 300MB+ to be removed but when I run it, it's still there. Why has it stopped working? The file names are: C:\Windows\TEMP\TMP000000B9869494B19FF4A347 102,272 KB C:\Windows\TEMP\TMP000000C3D8CBC64D751028F8 224,576 KB Any suggestions would be appreciated. D. Moderators Nergal Posted February 14, 2010 Moderators Share Posted February 14, 2010 Are you running the program with UAC privilages? Those files need UAC to be deleted ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
