D-Quong
Everytime I boot and run the registry cleaner of CCleaner, I get the same obsolete software key. I delete it and it pops up when I boot up again. Does anyone know what the causes of this are, and how to fix it.

Moderators DennisD Posted November 30, 2009 Moderators Share Posted November 30, 2009 Hi D-Quong, and welcome to Piriform. I've learned from a colleague that the entry belongs to a program called "Alcohol 120%", and will probably be difficult to get rid of. Is this program something you have on your PC? Moderators hazelnut Posted November 30, 2009 Moderators Share Posted November 30, 2009 Also perhaps think about following the steps in this thread in case it is a remnant of a trojan infection. http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=20120 Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
sommarblond
Sorry for bumping this old thread but I'm getting the same Obsolete Software key that just keeps coming back after every restart! I don't have any kind of virus and do not have the software "Alcohol 120%". But I do have "DAEMON Tools Lite" if it would have something to do with it, but I have been using it for a long time and didn't experience any problem at all until now recently with the reg key. How can I delete this reg key once and for all?

If you are running Daemon Tools Lite and you intend to keep using it then I'd be inclined to ignore it ... as we (should) know, the Reg Cleaner isn't 100% correct all of the time. sommarblond
Thanks for reply, I will ignore the key since DAEMON Tools Lite is an important program for me. Thanks again.
