Crapaholic
I'm running XP SP2 and CC ver. 2.23.993 and am very content. What's my incentive to keep updating the program if I don't plan on moving to Windows 7? Thanks.
Jamin4u
Hi Crapaholic, and welcome to the forum. With each release, there are bug fixes, new features and updates for programs. Have a look here for a full version history. This is a good reason to update to the latest version. Fixed issue with Startup tool, displaying incorrect folder contents. I always go to the builds page and download (save) the slim version to the desktop. No need to uninstall the old version, just install the new version over the top of the old. Just take your time and read the few choices you have, and before you know it your done. You should look at the changes made to the new version and read the CCleaner documentation. Moderators Andavari Posted November 3, 2009 Moderators Share Posted November 3, 2009 Try to keep an eye on the Announcements part of the forum, that's where new version releases are posted with their change logs. Updates roll out about once per month on average.
