The Advanced wipe free space gets to 100% and the circle just keeps spinning but the green bars at the top only go to 97% and I have uninstalled and reinstalled it but it just does the same thing Can anyone help? I've only used Wipe Free Space one time but it seems to take an inordinate amount of time to finish up the last bit. After it appeared to stall, I let it run overnight and it eventually finished. ident Posted September 6, 2009 Share Posted September 6, 2009 wiping free space takes time. Hence why it's not checked by default. I once run erasers 'unused disk space' on 35 over passes.
