Deleting Autocomplete

Anyone else having possible conflicts between using CCleaner and accessing Yahoo Mail?

I've noticed two things since downloading: (1) my autocomplete information for the e-mail Subject Line has been deleted; and, (2) the main page is no longer saving my setting for which news stories I would like to see upon accessing the page: It keeps showing Top Stories, rather than World.

The "Autocomplete Form History" option under IE on CCleaner is *NOT* checked. So, I cannot imagine that it would be cleaning out those files. (Though, the autocomplete information for Google Search Bar seems unaffected.)

"Cookies" is checked under IE, which might explain the glitch with the settings for the news pane.

Hi Matthew.

Have you used CCleaners "Options\Cookies" section to save any necessary cookies from being deleted?

Yahoo generates a number of cookies, some of them containing login information, some containing settings. This is a screenshot of my "Cookies To Keep" window.

As you can see there are a few different Yahoo cookies, one of them obvious by it's name that it contains login information. To save the time needed to sort out which contains what for where, I just keep them all.

Access and login to your various sites, and set the settings you require, and then close down your browser and open CCleaner. The cookies may be visible in the "Cookies To Delete" window, or you may need to do an "Analyze".

Then move the relevant cookies across to the "To Keep" window.

Hope that helps.

Woah, Dennis, you need some RAM, bro :P

Tell me about it. One of the reasons I don't like anything running when I'm converting stuff, as mentioned in another thread. I might get some with my "Fathers Day" cash, which is today.

But we're digressing here.

:)

Happy Father's Day to you, and all other fathers here :D

I have another 15 - 20 years to become a father.

As long as you hold back on that impetuosity, you just might have.

And thank you. It's been a good day.
