  1. I'm using Office 2007 on a Windows XP SP3. I write frequently with foreign characters. So, I go into the Ribbon's "Insert Symbol" > Shortcut Key and assign a particular shortcut for a symbol I use a lot: for example, pressing ALT + e for ?. Now, however, I've noticed that every couple weeks or so, the shortcuts are getting wiped out; and, Word doesn't seem to remember them anymore. I've got a good anti-virus/etc. program installed, so it's probably not a virus. I used to own an old laptop with Win98 and Office 2000 . . . and (need I say?) never had a problem with this. I do have CCleaner installed, and wonder if it could be that. Any ideas?
  2. Could CCleaner interfere with Indexing Service on XP? I go to START > SEARCH. I try searching for a specific file name or word in a specific folder (for example, a folder of PDF files), and get absolutely nothing coming back. Yes, I've checked the accuracy of the file name, of my spelling, and the search options (case-sensitive or not). This only seems to have started happening since I downloaded CCleaner. Is something checked in the Cleaner or Registry options which should not be . . . ??? I'm using XP SP3. Thanks.
  3. Anyone else having possible conflicts between using CCleaner and accessing Yahoo Mail? I've noticed two things since downloading: (1) my autocomplete information for the e-mail Subject Line has been deleted; and, (2) the main page is no longer saving my setting for which news stories I would like to see upon accessing the page: It keeps showing Top Stories, rather than World. The "Autocomplete Form History" option under IE on CCleaner is *NOT* checked. So, I cannot imagine that it would be cleaning out those files. (Though, the autocomplete information for Google Search Bar seems unaffected.) "Cookies" is checked under IE, which might explain the glitch with the settings for the news pane.
  4. "All-caps" are shouting? Then, what is an exclamation point (!) for? No, all-caps are simply all-caps.
