Anyone help. I am using version 2.18.878 of ccleaner. When I run it after analysis a window appears above the normal saying wait whilst surfing history is deleted. I then have to reenter email etc. despite marking to be kept logged on and moving cookies to save. I suppose this could be IE8 and Vista but is anyone else having the same problem?

Currently, even with the entire IE section unchecked CCleaner is deleting all of the files located in the following places:

%userprofile%\Appdata\Local\Temp\Cookies\

%userprofile%\Appdata\Local\Temp\History\History.ie5\

%userprofile%\Appdata\Local\Temp\Temporary internet Files\Content.ie5\

I believe that this is on it's way toward being fixed, however until then you can exclude the dat files in these locations

Turn off Hide Protected Operating System files in Folder Options/View

Options/Exclude in CCleaner

(The Following must be done for each Location above and for each User Profile, separately as The Exclude and Include sections do NOT seem to honer %Variables% )

Click Add file

Navigate to the locations above and choose the Index File located in the folder

When Finished Turn Hide Protected Operating System files in Folder Options/View back on.

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
