dido
I have bought a laptop which does not have a CD drive but does have a DVD RW writer. I have some old CD software that I want to load into the computer. Can I load the CD software into this computer through the DVD RW writer or do I need to buy an external CD drive? Or something else? YoKenny
Welcome dido The DVD RW can read regular CDs as long as they don't have fingerprints or scratches on the read surface. Moderators Andavari Posted February 1, 2009 Moderators Share Posted February 1, 2009 If it's possibly some CD burning software you'd probably be better off finding some up-to-date freeware that will cover all your needs as old CD burning software just may not have all the needed features you'll be needing with your DVD RW drive.
