Kahlil Moonwalker
I can't "safely remove" external hard drives while Defraggler is running, even when it's idle. There is no system but GNU and Linux is one of its kernels.
kmillerusaf
I can't "safely remove" external hard drives while Defraggler is running, even when it's idle. Windows may still view Defraggler as accessing the drives. That's the only thing I can think of. Not sure but if you were to add files to the external HDD, would Defraggler automatically update the "free space" for it? If it did, that would mean it is still accessing that drive in the background. There's always an exception to the rule. I'm that exception. RichardS
This is because defraggler constantly checks any drive conected to the computer for changes in data on it, this means windows shows defraggler accessing it and will not let you eject drive, forcing it to eject the drive should be safe as long as a defrag or anylsis is not in progress on that drive.
