CCleaner 2.15.815

I'm running Windows 98SE with 128 mb of RAM and a AuthenticAMD AMD-K7 Processor

and just upgraded to CCleaner 2.15.815. When I did CCleaner scans before upgrading, they worked fine. Now, when I scan, the scan lasts .0005 seconds and no files are listed. it's as though CCleaner isn't seeing my hard drive. Any suggestions?

I've used CC for the past couple of years without any problem in any area, apart from choosing the language on the latest version. Have a look at this link and let me know if it works correctly for you.

 

I'm not sure what you mean. Scans before upgrading, do you have the Automatically check for updates to CCleaner checked on install? Are you saying it does a quick clean, there is nothing to clean?

 

No files listed, never. Do you have Cookies checked? There will always be cookies that need deleting. The Temporary Internet Files will always be full of rubbish, do you clean those?

To get a silly question out of the way, you do have some options ticked? (Although CC does not usually remove options on install.)

 

I too have never known this before. Is it just the CC scan that shows no results, or is it Reg scan, or everything?

 

I should try a fresh download from Piriform's site and reinstall.
