I'm trying to install CCleaner on my notebook but, even in SafeMode, the process stops closing all windows without any message.

I suspect that the system is infected but no virus is found by AVG.

Any suggestion?

First question is where did you download CCleaner from? CCleaner or FileHippo?

If this problem is still occurring then you should follow the instructions in this link.

Others that had this problem were infected. These steps will result in verifying a malware problem, removing it and most importantly fixing the damage that has been done.

Thanks to all but I've solved ... radically ... using the recovery disk: now CCleaner is correctly installed.
