pirigood
Hi: HP Pavillion desktop running Win XP SP2. Dual core Athlon, 2 G RAM, & hard drive partitions only 20 % full. System is kept clean of viruses & spyware, and is regularly defragged with latest Defraggler. Latest CCleaner is identifying superfluous 'Prefetch' files, but is not deleting them. Is also ID'ing but not removing the 'Dr Watson' user dump as per the other post. Manual removal of these files is a bit of a nuisance. How do I fix this ? Good products overall, though. YoKenny
Welcome pirigood The prefetch issue has been discussed quite a bit before: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=17155 "Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school." - Albert Einstein IE7Pro user
Moderators hazelnut Posted October 12, 2008 Moderators Share Posted October 12, 2008 I think kenny the poster is pointing out that CCleaner is identifying the files but not deleting them. I don't think he is discussing that old prefetch myth of if they should be deleted or not.
