Hi charlie, and welcome to the forum,

 

The analyze button simply scans your pc and lists the items it finds, but doesn't delete them. This gives you the opportunity to look through them, and exclude anything you don't want removing, such as cookies containing site log on details etc.

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
