slowday444
So I can boot my desktop via my notebook with a "Wake On LAN" utility. I've only been able to test it through a VPN, so I'm still not sure it is working because I'm still "within" my home network. Do you think going through the VPN is a legitimate test? Thank You! Talldog9
As long as no firewall or other such things intercept the wake traffic then it should work fine. I don't know much about the protocol but UDP 0, 7, and/or 9 seem to be the ports used. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wake-on-LAN#Magic_Packet The internet - Where men are men, women are men and children are FBI agents.
