adamminorgeek
UAC on vista traps CCleaner as needing admin approval. when run interactively, that's a don't care. when run from a script, like my daily/weekly maintenance scripts, it fails to run at all. this is probably more a vista question (all of which seem to be about security) than CCleaner? but i'm stuck. any help appreciated. thanks! adamminorgeek
Moderators Nergal Posted August 12, 2008 Moderators Share Posted August 12, 2008 yup, no auto script with VISTA AFAIK ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
