Tom419
Hello I have been using CCleaner quite a while now. I am running Vista with 5 log on user names. Of the 5 user names I have one user that may run CCleaner without getting a prompt for CCleaner to continue, all other user names get the usual Vista pop up asking permission. Is there a setting I'm missing to get total administrative rights to the other user names? Thanks in advance Tom

Thanks in advance Tom Hi Tom, There seems to be some problem with Administrative priveleges in CCleaner running on Vista. It seems that some logical check is backwards. Such as the following threads. http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=101611 http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=101645 Try right clicking on the CCleaner icon and select Run AS. If that doesn't work provide the following. The following info will help others to possibly come up with a solution. These answers help to evaluate the problem.Just fill in the answers next to the questions? Provide a list of your CCleaner.ini file.( Tick option for Save settings to INI file at Options > Advanced then close CCleaner. This file will be created in C:\Program Files\CCleaner folder.) Are you running with Administrator privileges ? Have you tried Run AS ? CCleaner version ? OS,edition ,32bit or 64bit and version ? Browsers and ver.? Security software and ver? Other data you think might be relevant? What did you do and then what happened? In your situation do have 4 administartors and 1 standard user? Thanks, davey Don't forget a new update to the CCleaner Guide came out Feb. 06,2008. http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=1504 Bookmark it and save in your Favorites. Thanks for taking your time to make a report P.S.
