Problem Saving Images

Recommended Posts

When I right click on a picture, and select "Save Picture as", I no longer get the option of JPEG or GIF.

I get Bitmap or ART, and I am unable to upload the picture.

I ran CCleaner, as someone advised me, but the problem remains.

Is there something that I may not be doing right?

Thank you.

Hello Harry,

I did some investigating.

Are you sure you cleaned out the Temporary Internet Files for the user profile that is having this problem.

If unsure go to browser Tools > Internet Options > Browsing History > Delete > Temporary Internet Files > Delete files > Close. While still there Internet Options > Advanced > Settings > scroll to Security > Do not save encrypted files to disk (make sure this is not checked) > Apply > OK.

Let us know what happens.

P.S. If that doesn't work see this link.

Thank you, Davey. I tried all that and it didn't work.

There are times when I can save a gif, but not a jpeg file.

Hi Harry.

I presume your talking about saving pictures of web pages. Well this will depend on the site you are looking at. The majority of web sites use jpg's but some can use gif's or even as you say bmp's. You just have to save them as bmp's and convert them later. This isn't a CCleaner problem its the web page format or your browser settings. If you right-click on the Piriform logo at the top and select Save Picture As... it will save it as Logo.gif. <_<
