Mach1_Viclx
I recently used Recuva to recover some temporary files that were erased from my computer. The files I recovered were .psd photoshop files. The files were recovered to my flash drive, but when I attemped to open the files I was prompted with a box in photoshop that read "could not complete your request because it is not a valid photoshop document", the files that I recovered said that they were excellent and were not overwritten. I have tried opening the files with other software such as paint, etc. but to no avail. Is there something I am doing wrong or are all of my pictures that I spent months working on doomed to the purgatory of my hard drive. Thank you for your time. Moderators Augeas Posted March 20, 2008 Moderators Share Posted March 20, 2008 Sometimes Recuva marks files as excellent when they are not properly recoverable, and vice versa. It's just software trying to evaluate the state of the file. There is nothing addtional that you should be doing, apart from using an up-to-date version of Recuva, so the files may well be lost forever.
