CCleaner Cleaning Problems

When I run my free version of CCleaner it functions fine except that it indicates cleaning my backup hard drive "D". All the files listed as being cleaned start with "D\****". This "D" drive is a clone of the "C" to be used in case of emergency. I recently had a crash in my"C" drive and had to clone "D" back to "C". Everything works perfectly except for this program which thinks it is cleaning the "D" drive. I have uninstalled the program and downloaded the latest version but still the same problem. When checking "properties" for this program it indicates correctly that it is in "C\Program Files". I think that it is cleaniing the "C" drive but it indicates "D". Can any explain this to me??

Hi cashtonh,

I am no Expert. If you will expound on how you created the original "clone". Then how you

"cloned" "D" back to "C". It may provide enough information for a more experienced member to

propose an explanation.

P.S. I would be interested what the corresponding statement in your CCleaner.ini file says.

BackupDir=C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents.

Other members with OS on their "D" drive(partition) may be interested also.

You may have a solution to answer their inquiries.
