rzpogi
While checking my firewall records, there was an application blocked to connected to the internet. Its name is bu_.exe. When I searched the net for this program, it is virus and mostly related to uninstallation of winamp. According to the descriptions, it sometimes store itself in temporary folders which CCleaner deletes. when I try to find the file in the pc, it was gone. Even I made a virus scan using my anti-virus(trendmicro pc-cillin 2006) and prevx free scanner, there was no presence. Can CCleaner delete viruses and malware? Moderators Augeas Posted November 30, 2007 Moderators Share Posted November 30, 2007 I think you've answered your own question. CCleaner will delete whatever files you specify. If there is a virus or malware in one of those files it will be part of that file and will be deleted along with the data. CCleaner does not specifically look for viruses or malware, or anything else for that matter, it just deletes files. Rgds.
