Guest MrRon
Can you run Recuva in debug mode and either post the log here or PM me for an email address to send it to. http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=8789 Thanks MrRon
CraZ
Hi, I'm experiencing the same problem. On 99%, computer runs out of memory. Recuva is consuming much more memory than previous versions. The amount of memory used is in direct proportion of files found. Tested on 2 computers: At work, 3 GB RAM, 260 GB HDD, 1.190.000 files found. Recuva consumes 2 GB of RAM and on 99% crashes. At home, 2 GB RAM, 220 GB HDD, 390.000 files found. Recuva consumes about 500 MB of RAM, is waiting a few seconds on 99% and finally shows all files. With a few thousands of files found, memory usage is not increased so much. Some measuring (at home computer): Values stands for Working Set / Virtual memory. Recuva 1.09.194 - 390.000 files Before scan: 5 MB / 41 MB At 99%: 390 MB (and it stalls for a few seconds) After scan: 540 MB / 580 MB Recuva 1.07.138 - 390.000 files (same disk) Before scan: 5 MB / 37 MB At 99%: 360 MB / 530 MB After scan: 52 MB / 314 MB Scanning is faster than 1.09. login123
Works OK here, little hesitation at 99%, but then it finishes. The original debug log is about 52,000 Kb. If the small edited version below is unhelpful, let me know how to attach the big one and I will. and The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers.
