superstring
I don't understand why, if I UNCHECK "Cookies" in the Cleaner section of CCleaner, CCleaner still deletes ALL my cookies, in particular the ones which contain my log in info (username/password). What happens if I CHECK the Cookies box??

Please excuse my ignorance, but are Index.dat files cookies too? What kind of cookies does CCleaner NOT delete when the Cookies box is unchecked? What kind of cookies does CCleaner NOT delete when the Cookies box is unchecked? This issue came about with Internet Explorer 7, for some reason deleting index.dat seems to kill the cookies too so only solution for the timebeing is to untick that box too
