Still not sorted, Manually deleted those items from the startup. For any future visitors, here is what I did. To remove a shortcut from the Startup folder: Press Win-r. In the "Open:" field, type: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp Press Enter. Right-click the program you don't want to open at startup and click Delete. It's a pity I had to ask for a refund. I really loved this application.

Try Custom Clean : Uncheck Cookies.

Thank you for replying. I am using Norton Antivirus and have been using for 14 years.. Never faced this problem with the free version of CCleaner. I recently bought the professional version and this problem started. For this post sake, I disabled Norton. But still same problem.

I have the professional version of CCleaner. I am facing two problems 1. If I disable an entry and close CCleaner, it doesn't remain disabled. If I close and restart CCleaner, the entry is enabled. 2. I am not above to delete an entry. it says file not found. But I can see the file by right clicking on it and selecting "Open Containing Folder". This post is not letting me upload a file (Error 200).
