  1. So, this forum and mod are totally useless. Great. I'll be taking my money elsewhere to people who have a shred of knowledge. I had to find the information and links myself, while this "mod" sat on his fat f***ing ass. Good job, keep up the great work, kid.
  2. Why won't Recuva recognize the HDD to scan? I obviously plugged the HDD correctly to the motherboard. I further tested this using other recovery software- the HDD shows up just fine, but not on Recuva? And if you say "just restart the PC and try again"....don't bother replying, please. This question is addressed to no one in particular.
  3. You really think I didn't try all that before posting in a forum? The link I provided has actual advice.
  4. So you ran the system with no power? lol I've already tried all but the 5th option in safe mode, multiple times, and let it run for 60+ hours. None of that helped.
  5. Thanks. I read the forum in your link. It was of little assistance to me, however. I did find the file system information insightful, so thanks for that. I will try to recover the data with this software. I did find someone doing the same thing here: http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=35695 (they list a different recovery software- I am not trying to advertise theirs. I'm not sure if different software will make a difference since I'm dealing with a non-run-of-the-mill HDD). I've used Recuva for an old Windows HDD that had physical and logical errors. I got 99% of my data back. Hopefully the results for this will be the same. I've asked for help in that website's forum. Here is the link so you can asses the information I've been given: http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=102113&p=911191 Yeah, no f***ing kidding. Once I get my data back....I'm definitely backing all that up. Hindsight is always 20/20.............sigh
  6. Hello. My PS3 recently had an issue. I cannot play, as the drive got corrupt. I'm wondering if I can salvage my save files using this software. Thank you for your assistance. It seems the deep scan will not be of assistance to me, due to the file types being .PFD .SFO and .SAV, and I need the file names intact at the very least. Folder structure would be ideal. They were not deleted, and I'm fairly sure they are not corrupt. Just the boot sequence of the HDD became corrupt. Will this software still be able to salvage my data, even though it's not a windows-based HDD?
