Please read the body copy "Note, ignore the ?time limited demo? reference on this page. This is the full commercial download and does not require a serial code."
I have NO option in our internal CMS to classify our full downloads as full downloads. I asked for this addition ages ago, but getting anything changed internally takes a long time in a large company. I avoid using the 'freeware' classification as it definitely isn't freeware.

Hi,
Has anyone noticed we're giving away WS_FTP Home 2006 as our current free commercial download? I thought it would prove really popular, but it doesn't seem as popular as the Paragon apps.
Actually, we've got another full Paragon app going up next week.

pretty sweet.
btw: how are you being alerted that a new commercial download is available for free? are you signed to the newsletter or something?
edit: just tried it. the way it saves PDFs is kind of weird because when i print out a page from the CCleaner forums(well, PDF save it i guess), i get some pretty awkward results. oh, and also, i coincidentally found a but with Foxit
Yeah, saving PDFs from web sites doesn't always produce great results within any PDF software. You can find out more about full apps from vnunet.com via Download Junkie (www.downloadjunkie.co.uk).

I'd suggest before someone uses this that they first play with it on a old unimportant non-critical system first (e.g.; not your main PC), or on an old hard drive!
Hm, sorry to hear that. I suppose that's always the tricky dilemma with partitioning software. Here am I writing about partitioning your C: drive (on downloadjunkie.co.uk) and I 'forgot' that the problem with partitioning your main drive is that you can, in theory, lose everything if it goes wrong.
Paragon Partition Manager is still pretty decent software though, I hope.

A newer version (6.1) is available at http://www.bluesquad.com/ or http://www.driver-soft.com/
That's a time-limited demo though. Our v5 is a full commercial download. Still a useful bit of kit!

Hi,
Thought you guys might be interested to hear about our latest free full commercial download, Driver Genius 5 Professional, available from:
Enables you to examine the hardware on your system and then will automatically check for new drivers and offer to install, if required. You can also back up and restore current/old drivers.
Thanks,
Chris.

Thanks Chris ( from Computeractive I presume) for letting us know why the download was removed.
P.S. Welcome to the forum
Thanks. From vnunet.com, although Computeractive is part of the VNU magazine network.
Some of our free downloads on vnunet.com have a 'download expiry' (ie. they're available to download from the site, for a month). I think the full Registry Mechanic download offer expires this week.
It's certainly an excellent app. Now, I need to check whether I put CCleaner on vnunet.com/downloads. I'm sure I did!

Ah well, that'll teach me for not jumping on it when I had the chance. They've caught on to the fact it was being linked to and have took it down. Never mind, got Ashampoo WinOptimizer and Registry Mechanic out of them first
Correct. We took it down as it was supposed to be a 'closed' download for magazine readers. We're now going to have to re-evaluate that strategy as the information spread across the web. It wasn't an offer for the general public and, as you can imagine, it annoyed both Acronis and ourselves. At one stage, last Wednesday, 400 people were trying to download at the same time from our FTP server and it was overloaded.
All the free apps on www.vnunet.com and www.downloadjunkie.co.uk *are* for the general public though. Everyone is more than welcome to download Registry Mechanic 5 and others!

True. I use Directory Opus 8 and this can't be bettered as an Explorer replacement. Once installed, I can't go back to the original Explorer. Opus has FTP support built in to the software, too.
