what program should I use to view recovered videos and photos.

The replies above seem to answer where to go for video help but the original question was also concerning viewing any recovered photos which is my problem. According to Recuva, the state of my recovered pics is excellent, format is JPG yet nothing on my Windows 8 OS software wise seems to work in opening it? Any advice most welcome
