How to do logs
http://www.piriform.com/docs/speccy/troubleshooting-speccy/running-speccy-in-debug-mode
To pm MrRon just click on his name and select 'send me a message' then select 'choose full editor' (this will allow you to attach a log in the pm)
Devs don't usually reply in threads as such, the reply may be in the form of a fix in a new release.
Please be patient.
Hi hazelnut:
Exactly which of the logs does MrRon want that would be related to my above issue with 1.10?
"A Window will appear asking you which features of Speccy you would like to log."
Thanks.

Hi MrRon -
I am using Win XP, SP3 and 6 items are in the Task Scheduler.
Only 4 display in Speccy.
Just wanted to clarify.
Hi.
Where do we stand on this.
Kindly update, thanks.

Hi MrRon -
Where do I obtain the logfile and how to PM it to you?
Thanks!
Bump!
How long do I have to wait for a reply?
I thought that Piriform would be more proactive on this.

Can anyone recreate this?

Can you both PM me logs and we will continue to look at this.

Hi all:
This problem went away after a reboot and has not occurred again.
Guess this case should be considered "closed."

Yup, I'm still not displaying AV in 1.10 (which claims to be better at but not fixing the issue completely)
Honestly I'm not too supprised that AV don't readily show them selves to apps like this, again it would make malware's job easier if it were)
Hi Nergal:
If NIS 2011 (or any other AV type product) cannot be detected properly in Speccy, then those fields should be removed, IMHO.
Accurate system information is key.
I really thought this problem would have been resolved by now in 1.10
Could a Dev acknowledge this continuing issue?
Many thanks.

Compumind, you don't need two identical threads in different Speccy sections.
It only creates confusion, and this one covers your issue, so I deleted the one in "Speccy Discussion".
@DennisD: Sorry about that! Growing pains.
Could someone acknowledge this Speccy issue?
Thanks.

Hi:
Under the Operating System category -> Scheduler:
Scheduler
4/12/2011 3:38 PM GoogleUpdateTaskMachineUA
4/12/2011 5:38 PM GoogleUpdateTaskMachineCore
4/13/2011 11:20 AM AppleSoftwareUpdate
4/18/2011 8:00 PM Norton Internet Security - Run Full System Scan - Owner
Only four instances of scheduled tasks are reported. I have 6.
Same as the last build...
Tnx.

Just downloaded Speccy version 1.10.248
Problem *still* not resolved

Hi.
After starting Speccy, I see this under Graphics... in orange...
The specified service has been marked for deletion.
What might be going on?
TIA
-
Just curious...
Any ETA on a fix for this?
TIA

There's an error in speccy's AV/Security detection. This is a known issue and the developers are looking into it.
Brilliant.
Thanks, Nergal.

Hi there:
Speccy 1.09.231 is not properly reporting my AV and FW software.
I am using Norton Internet Security 2011, while Speccy reports back McAfee.
Firewall
Firewall Enabled
Company Name McAfee
Display Name
Product Version
Antivirus
Antivirus Enabled
Company Name McAfee
Display Name McAfee VirusScan
Product Version
Note that the Product Version is not displayed as well.
There isn't a trace of McAfee on the system in question, running XP, SP3.
What's up?
TIA

Hi Nergal:
After creating them, I can say that nothing in the logs would be of useful information.
Still have wrong AV/FW detection in 1.10 - anyone else?
