  1. Such is impossible - I'm sorry, but Immunet IS CLAM AV.... Sorry to tell you, it's OK... You'll realize soon enough that Immunet is just the new "company name" for ClamAV software...
  2. Well, CCleaner 3.09 still won't install... So, how do I tell ClamAV / Immunet 3.0 that CCleaner is a GOOD Program?!
  3. Thanks, I was having the same problem... Hopefully this works for me!!!
  4. I've been to Spyware Hell and I just fixed the agent.exe thank you very much.... I uninstalled ClamAV / Immunet 3.0, cleaned the registry, restarted the comp, reinstalled it, and now it works just fine with no agent.exe running...
  5. C:\Program Files\ClamAV for Windows\3.0.2\agent.exe According to Process Explorer 15.1 this is the proper location of the file for agent.exe. This is COMPLETELY different from the file location that your links had on it... I found the file in the folder with ClamAV, but I'm unable to delete it or end the process at all... Also, I finally was able to get the OTL download link to work by refreshing the page an infinite number of times...
  6. Portable CCleaner runs properly but it doesn't install. I can't kill the file, my computer won't let me. It's not hidden, I have everything opened up. I've tried installing multiple other programs and updates, every single one of them works exactly fine... To Hazelnut - Well I can't put up my logs now because I accidentally cleared them with CCleaner 3.08 -.- Some went back as far as May of last year (because I previously had it installed but it ended up doing more damage then good). And the OTL link HAS to be broken, there's no way that my DAP is not downloading that file because DAP is NOT broken. I just downloaded 17 other files to prove that it works, every single one of them works... I'm telling you, the only problems I'm having is with agent.exe and CCleaner 3.09.1439.... Defraggler 2.06 installed without ANY problems...
  7. OK, so I checked out those articles you gave me for the agent and the agent does NOT exist in ANY of the files mentioned... It just doesn't exist, period... Also, I ran MBAM for a quick scan then a full scan and removed ALL Malware from my computer. The computer still won't install CCleaner and agent.exe still runs at 50% CPU usage. Also, the guide you gave me to the piriform help forum post, the OTL link is completely broken and/or has no link enabled... I didn't post the results because I don't understand the need to, seriously, it didn't fix the problem so what's the need to post the results of the scan??
  8. I tried IE8, didn't work... Same exact results. I'm using the standard Windows Firewall and I have not changed its settings, not received any updates, not made a single change to my computer since the last CCleaner update.... So, I guess the only thing left to consider is how to remove the malware that be causing this. I have Spyware Doctor trial run and ClamAV (Now Immunet 3.0) free version for my anti-virus, I run a virus scan once a week using Spyware doctor and once a month using ClamAV. The only thing that has changed is for some reason, as of late, a program by the name of "agent.exe" has been running occasionally and using up 50% of my CPU, I have no idea where it's from or how to stop it. Other than that, CCleaner is the only thing that refuses to install, I just installed an update for Notepad++ like 5 days ago, worked fine, not a single problem...
  9. I tried rerunning each downloaded file up to 5 times each before I gave up (and the only way it closed out was I had to force it to close out via Windows Task Manager). To the other person, no, I haven't tried IE8 yet, but I just didn't see any point in trying that one because it's ALWAYS worked for Firefox and Google Chrome for the past oh... 40+ versions that I've been using it...
  10. I have Windows XP 32-bit, I clean my Cache every single time that I close my browser... I clean my comp with CCleaner and Defraggler on a daily basis, every single day that I'm on my computer. Yes, I am the owner and admin of this computer - I have full rights and privileges to do whatever I want to it...
  11. At first I thought it was a corrupted file, but then I downloaded it 3 times from 3 different links on Filehippo.com, then I downloaded it 3 times from 3 different links (2 links failed, the "in case it doesn't work, click here") from Piriform.com - All have the same results. It goes through the Agreement Policy, then the selection of features you want installed, then finally to the installation bar - in which it completely refuses to pass the first step - it sticks at "Please wait, installing CCleaner..." and it stays there forever. I've tried leaving it there for 20minute straight, for up to 3 different downloaded files, from both FireFox and Google Chrome (in case for some reason the browser was corrupting the file). So, I'm still on 3.08 and it will not let me install it, no matter what... Please help!!
  12. I did it on my drive and I have no problem with it. As for the Defrag, what WON'T fragment your files? Really... Nothing that a quick defrag couldn't fix in 15minutes... I have been using my Desktop computer with the main drive and secondary drive compressed, with no problem at all... When it asked to "ignore" or "try again" for certain files that couldn't be compressed, I just hit "ignore all"... Also, for some reason my Windows' form of compression was different then the WinZip Compression Tool; it allowed me to save disk space WHILE still allowing all the files to be "uncompressed" sort of.. Like, I could still use every single file if I needed or wanted to. But it still saved me space, I love it. Saved me about 3.5GB with about 47GB on my 250GB Primary Drive. My Secondary Drive has little on it (a few system files) but I compressed it, anyways. I only compressed it for more space (what's wrong with having more space?) not that I needed it... But what I like most about it, is it allows sort of a "Future fail-safe," basically, by doing this to the drive. What I mean by this is, anything and everything you put onto the drive after you compress it, is automatically compressed; thus saving you more space every time you install new software or add new photos, etc.
  13. Hi, I just wanted to let ya know that for the past 2 versions of Defraggler it is unable to Defragment a data file called "data_3" on my primary drive. I compressed the entire drive to save more disk space (not that I'm running out, just would rather always have more). It works differently with this file... On a Quick Defrag or upon selecting that item to only be Defragged, it would expand the item into ALL of the slots (blocks) so that it looks like the entire drive is full of data. It would then take about a minute and move the blocks around, until finally it is unable to defrag it. Why is this happening and can you fix it / release it by the next version? Thanks.
  14. Well I don't know if the PS3 has registry or not, I just figured it would from all the updates, installing / uninstalling of games and demos, etc. And I've had my PS3 for only 5 months now and I bought it brand new from Best buy and it has frozen 5 times in the past week. Not to mention, in the past 3 days I have had SEVERE system lag. System, not internet, because you don't need to connect to the internet to use your homepage and watch that lovely loading sign show itself for 5min straight while trying to load your game. Worst come to worst, I just go to best buy and they fix it or hell I have to reset all my data.
  15. Hi, I just thought that it would be a very useful thing if we could use CCleaner to clean the junk files on the popular gaming consoles, which nowadays are very similar to computers. And possibly even phones as an app might be great too! Because cellular phones have evolved into much like a computer as well! It's just phones and gaming consoles tend to build up a lot of junk files / registry issues over-time and it causes the systems to slow down a lot. Thanks for reading this and I hope you think hard on it!
  16. Well it's been cleaning just fine for the last 40 versions of Beta I've been using of Google Chrome.... even version 3.03 cleans this version of Beta Chrome JUST FINE! So I have no idea what changed....
  17. Hey guys, I have read this entire forum post by post... but see, the problem is I DID NOT experience the problem until version 3.04.1389 was downloaded and installed on my computer... I have unchecked ALL the boxes for the cleaning of the browser when it is closed. I currently use Google Chrome version 11.0.672.2 Beta. I have downloaded and installed them both from www.filehippo.com. My knowledge of computers is very limited... so don't ask me to do much technical stuff and don't expect much from me... Oh and I'm using Windows XP 32-bit.
  18. Hello, I've been using this program for about a month now and I have noticed that certain files such as hiberfil.sys or pagefile.sys are not Defragmented when I run the Defraggler tool. Eventually, I found a program called PageDefrag which basically Defrags specifically the .sys files upon reboot. This fixed my hiberfil.sys fragmentation but I still cannot find a way to defrag pagefile.sys. {LINK REMOVE BY MODERATOR} (The URL was not to deter others from using this program but merely to show others / Piriform exactly what I am talking about and how they could possibly add this idea to their program) What I'm saying is, if Defraggler could fix these files it would save me and others the time of having to try to find another program that can fix them. It would also optimize system performance, giving the users more likelihood of continuing to use this program. Thank you for taking the time out to read this. I hope you take this idea and place it into the Defraggler tool. Have a nice day!
