If you're using the MS Windows JAVA version I suppose that could happen. You could download Sun Java Runtime.
I already have this one and it is up to date.
I tried uninstalling Java but it crashed... :|
-
Each time I open a program built in Java, it crashes the actual program and if I try to stop the process, Windows crashes as well and I need to reboot the computer.
What could possibly cause this ?
-
I also have this issue with the latest version of CCLeaner.
-
MSN Gaming Zone and Netmeeting, which I can't seem to even get rid off.

You can use System Restore if you're really worried about it. That will replace your entire folder. I personally am not worried about it. It won't expose your computer to bugs.
I'll think about hosting a folder from my other computer, but I'm not familiar with the link that you provided. Can someone tell me if it's safe (someone that I know)? If so I'll upload it for whoever wants it. But it's only for XP SP2.
Completely safe.
Would be appreciated considering your folder is intact.

Hello, I really need to know if I should format to get my $hf_mig$ folder intact.
I heard it will expose my computer to bugs and corrupt future update installations by overwriting new files with old ones.
Should I format?
Would it be possible for someone to host their intact $hf_mig$ folder on the internet for download on a free host like http://www.filefront.com/ ?
I hope I don't need to format... but if it's the only way.
I have no backups whatsoever...

Hello ? =/
-
If you don't. I wouldn't worry about it.
Hmm, I thought that:
1) Windows Updates will not be able to see which updates I see in the future.
2) Installing updates in the future might cause corruption of old / new versions of Microsoft files.
Couldn't someone just upload some .reg file for download and all would be fixed ?

Damn, I deleted previous system restore points.
Is there any way to collect them back ? (I have a lot of time to waste, eh)
-
I used the checkmark and didn't do any backups, am I in some deep shite ?

I am currently behind a router and I am using Windows' in-built Firewall.
Is this enough or do I need to reinstall my copy of Zone Alarm Pro ?

If you want the site to be translated in Bulgarian, I think you should and fellow Bulgarians get to work.
-
I no longer recommend it anymore. I still personally use the software though, perhaps because I am not aware of any good alternatives.
I hope I will find a free, open source alternative soon.
You might wanna check out ClearProg.
I'm still recommending CCleaner though.

I ate a beaver as suggested in this forum, and was in need of an owl. I groped in the dark and that's the last I remember until I woke up a few inches shorter and in the hospital. I was shown this picture, and I demand to be compensated!! BTW, that picture scares me.

just 1 time (during the existence of CCleaner) by making a $20 donation then MrG could donate ALL of his time to meeting our every wish, and desire.
So basically, CCleaner would become a shareware.
The fact that it would be a shareware wouldn't make MrG give it more attention. He'd just become more greedy that he is now.
-
I agree.
TuneUp utilities is one of those rare sharewares I would actually pay for.

I was wondering the same thing. I PM'd TM a few days ago, and I didn't get a response.
I'm getting desperate for a winapp2.ini update.
-
I just noticed FileForum also marked CCleaner as ADWARE.

The winapp2.ini file hasn't been updated for quite a while, what happened to TwistedMetal ?

There are about 7 he's and 1 she posting here. Which one were you referencing? And if you personally don't care, why waste the post telling us?
No, I was saying that I doubt that MrG will care if people whine against the toolbar or not, he's there for the advertisement. ($$$)
-
Tis true. But the poll just puts it in perspective. You know, if MrG sees a poll that says 67 users voted "No Toolbar", while 2 voted "Yes Toolbar", that makes a bigger impression than a million different new threads saying "the Toolbar sux!" and "no it don't, you do!"
I don't think he will care.
-
I was asking myself the same question, actually.
-
I think Matt is asking about the right-click context menu > Open With
If that's the case, he just needs to use Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > File Types to change the actions for the extensions in question. That interface is safer than editing the registry.
/me hug Glenn
Thanks, that's exactly what I was searching for.
