thank you for your useful information. I've never installed or updated DirectX just two questions please. what OS are you using? did you have to re-install the previous version after trying to installed the latest corrupted ones?

Hi ! due to a problem with LCD Flat Panel Monitor . Hi! I bought a new Monitor (HP 1702 LCD Flat Panel Monitor) 5 days ago. after two days, I was working when it suddenly started to flicker. I was advised to change the resolution, because the preferred resolution for my monitor is 1280 x 1024. yesterday, it flickered again. I tried to installed "HP L1702 LCD Monitor Driver" and "HP L1702 Flat Panel Monitor Support Software" from this site : http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechS...p;swEnvOID=1093 but in vain. I restored it to the resolution 1024 x 768. it's stable but it's a bit blurred. now, it is working with 1280 x 1024, but I'm afraid to come across the same problem, I've had it three times so far. is the problem from the monitor or just the resolution?

I have tried everything, I think this problem has to do with restrictions in registry. I only use CCleaner.

no it's not, because I didn't install it. however, it used to work well without it.

1- Yes, I have. I usually login with two IDs. 2- I tried in different computer and found out that the problem is not with ID's. 3- No, I didn't. 4- Yahoo works good and saves my info, too. thank you "1984"

nothing new, I scanned my computer and found that it's clean. I ran Dial-a-fix ,and thought that would fix the problem, but in vain. I think there's something wrong in the registry restriction or so. 1984,please, do you have more suggestions to fix it?

I'm using avast pro 4.8.1296. I scanned with CA antispyware + Ewido 4.0. and every thing is clean. for CCleaner I use clean before reboot ( CCleaner + shutdown), I ran registry fix in Cclener I have windows xp pro service pack 2. I will unclick applications for wlm in CCleaner then see before using Dial-a-fix. and tell you the results. thank you so much for your quick answer :-)

I have a problem with Windows Live Messenger. I tick "remember my username and password" in windows live messenger 8.1.178.000. but as soon as I reboot my computer I found that all the boxes are not ticked. I thought it was due to a virus or so; therefore, I ran MSNFix which indicated the presence of infection, then I cleaned it. I ran Hijackthis, Combofix, Anti-Malewarebytes to make sure and found nothing. I uninstalled Window live messenger from add/delete programmes and removed manually its folder from C:\program files, and its keys from registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Uninstall). then reinstalled and no results. I even tried a newer version 8.5, but in vain. I also ran system restore and it worked, however after rebooting twice the problem was back. could you please help fix this problem? by the way, I'm now using version 8.5

You might run over to your post on Yahoo and tell the others how you did it. PLEASE don't just say go to Piriform and they will tell you how. Tell them exactly how you did it.Then all those other Yahoo/CCleaner users will get their answer right from the Yahoo "toolbar" website. Now do you have to recreate other buttons again or do they get saved by Yahoo somehow? -thanks, but I don't. I noticed that Yahoo has the settings on file for previous users and they say they will transfer these settings to the New Tool bar. You did succeed in getting the CCleaner icon to your custom buttons or popular buttons.Correct ? -that's right. Where is the button stored? I am just making an estimated guess. - I seached but I don't know where to find it. Did you reboot each time to be on the safe side to clear caches etc.? -yes, I did and everything is alright as before.

Hi everybody ! yesterday, I installed the latest version of CCleaner 2.06 on my sister's pc,who is using Internet exploer 6 with no yahoo toolbar. and during the installation I ticked the option to make the CCleaner icon appear with yahoo toolbar. everything was done successfully. but, when I installed it on my computer ( I use internet explorer 7 and yahoo toolbar is already installed) I ticked the option to make the CCleaner icon appear with Yahoo toolbar. but it didn't. can anybody help me with this? thanks in advance

Did you uninstall the previous version before installing V2.06?

I encountered the same problem when I upgrade CCleaner from the old version to the new version. and that's where the problem comes from, I had to uninstall the old one before installing the new one. I hope this will help
