Question three: Is there an application that will show me where my disk space usage is going to? Seems like I don't know where 15Gb of space has gone to.
Thanks.
I have another solution for question three, you can use HDCleaner which will give you a tree view of all folders on your computer and will tell you how much each of them takes up in space!
I hope this helped

I just tried this 'Foxie Cleaner' and its no good(its a bad copy of CCleaner!)
It may look like CCleaner but its no where near the ability that CCleaner has!!!

Yes it is, also CCleaners registry cleaner isn't as underpowered as some people may think or assume, it is rather powerful and indeed safe.
Yes I agree, although sometimes it doesn't find as many issues as other registry scanners, it mostly finds ones that the others didn't find which are the safe ones to delete
One problem I see with it is when I scan once(fix the issues I found) and scan again I always find more(different ones I hadn't found the first time...without running a cleaner or exiting the program)
Perhaps there could be a small bug that does this(I'm not sure?)

Ok when you go into tools in CCleaner and press (say startup) and go back into either cleaner or issues and then go back into tools, it still shows you in the startup part of tools. I would like this to also happen in the options tab as well....
See if you go into options its default set on settings(say if i go into about) then go back into either the cleaner, issues, or tools and then go back into options it puts you back to settings(default location)..... I would like it to also keep where you've been in the options part of CCleaner too..

I'm not really sure if this is a bug or not but I would like to report it.
I ran the issue scanner once, picked up about 50 items(fixed them) and then scanned right then again only to find about 20 more items. These items looked familiar to me only to be the ones I had deleted earlier.
Like I said I'm not really sure if this is a bug or not but I will continue on testing this.

Please specify which OS your using CCleaner on.

Strangely enough... FrontPage and the Registry Keys mentioned are already cleaned.
I see that it cleans it in only the Office XP..... I have "FrontPage 2003" so I need it to clean frontpage while it cleans "Office 2003".

I would have to say this is the safest, fastest and most reliable Reg Scanner there is out there.
If you are worried about this, you can easily make a backup just incase...which will easily restore what has been deleted if for any reason something should happen.
I use CCleaner all the time and have been using it for over a year now. This program has never once caused a problem on my pc after using either the cleaner or the reg scanner and I don't even really think it will wreck my pc or cause any problems when I'm using it.
CCleaner has made the issues scanner really safe to use, you may not pick up as much as other reg scanners but you know whatever it says is a problem....its a problem.
I wouldn't worry about it but if you still do the backup option is still in mind.

I have just installed Microsoft FrontPage and wish it to be cleaned along with my other Office applications.
All you have to do is simply add this to the winapp.ini file:
RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\Explorer\FrontPage Explorer\Recent File List
RegKey2=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\Explorer\FrontPage Explorer\Recent Page List
RegKey3=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\Explorer\FrontPage Explorer\Recent Web List

I've had this problem once or twice, usually when I was surfing the net.....
But fortunately I haven't had this problem since.

Yup, this world is crazy......

If you need more words of insurance....
I say that this is the fastest, most reliable Registry Cleaner\Scanner I believe is out their.
I put my full, complete trust in CCleaner!

I'm not sure what to say but when I use Google Earth and LimeWire I have McAfee which will allow you to either block the programs or not without disabling it time and time again.......Can you go into Norton and do this?
(It usually asks you through a popup when opening the program)
...So I'm not sure how to do this with Norton as I really have never used it.

Though it has happened very few times with me that the estimate is way off than the given final result, I found that it is usually right on the bat when giving me an approximate estimation to the real thing.

Hey
I have noticed in my C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder, i have 156MB of what seem to be downloaded hotfixes from WindowsUpdate
Is this safe to delete?
I wouldn't if i were you. I've done that same thing once and the next time I went to Windows Update it told me I needed all of those updates again. It was a pain to do all of that again!!!

Thanks for this information!

CCleaner is an impressive application. Many thanks to the authors.
I would love to see the addition of cleanup for Visio. I'm using 2003 SP1, which does not get cleaned along with the rest of the Office Suite.
I agree with this suggestion as I use Visio, and OneNote 2003 and wish they may get cleaned as well.

Nearly the same in New Brunswick Canada as gas is around $1.12..

I began using CCleaner in July 2004....back then I had 98 and have had it until the end of last year. I had never had one problem, error, bug or anything else happen to my computer caused by using this program. I have run this program on 98,2000,XP, and 2003.
I just want to say that this is the best cleaning program i have ever used or seen!!!
And I want to thank all of you who have compiled such an amazing program!

Contact page......I didn't even know there was a contact page until today..
Yah I think MrG should have a page where he tells us about how things are coming on upcoming versions of CC....It would really keep people interested in the program!!!
