I haven't tried it yet but I'm sure Dracula 3 is an adventure game, not a hidden object game. If there is a hidden object scenario in it I'm sure it's just a puzzle more than a theme.I'm not that keen on adventure games with a lot of human interaction and "exhaust all dialogue" scenarios. And when you're 30% to 50% into the game and you realize there are no new areas to explore. Then it's more work than fun, and I abandon it.
Yes it is a adventure game but i don't think it is the usual, it was 2.5 GB and not like the adventure games I seen before, in fact i feel the same as you, but after going to the forum it was like, what is all the fuss about!! So I downloaded even with broadband it took 2.5 hrs, so far I am intrigued.
I like the HO also unless they are too cartoonish, the Mystery Case files are pretty good. Guess I will see whats new.

The Ravenhurst games are fun. I hope they do more of that style.Yes, I am still working on RTR, but this Dracula 3 got everyone in the forums going so i had to download it and see what it was all about. So far it is very impressive, graphics are great, they first part was easy to do but they get more difficult as you go on, and more gory so i hear. I have to finish Return to Ravenhearst before I get too involved with Dracula. There are no HO's in Dracula at all--I kind of like that part, at least a few thrown in but i think I will have my hands full enough. LOL

BTW, I notice you will or are among the vista users, at first I hated it, pulling my hair out at every turn, but now you could not drag me away from it, so many features that you really are not aware of at first. It has it's idiocyncracies but don't they all-----Me a not so versed user telling you Ha! some nerve huh! But I think you will like it. again thanks

I like ravenhearst, return to ravenhearst, and for absolute great graphics and story line---so far--is dracula 3. The game is a bit this side of 2.5 GB's. I don't have any game boxes or the like, gramma's aren't allowed to do those.~~~~~~~But in the dark of the night, while shadows fall, granny, bumping into all the furniture, trys to find the hidden componets before daybreak tee hee

I'd highly recommend uploading the files Avira is detecting to Virus Total, versus just flat out ignoring a possible infection.
If Virus Total has multiple scanners stating the file(s) are infected you should most likely remove those games and post a HJT log if necessary in the proper forum area after following these instructions.
I followed all instructions up to quick scan, the next being do a full malwarebytes scan, but on the quick scan this malware.trace came up, should I remove it before the full scan, or ignore it or save log file? thank you---I am getting on top of this, I hope
I uploaded a snip of what the malwarebytes said, its in current attachments--can you get to it?

Hi guys & gals, ole gramma here. I love HO games and also the ones that have puzzles as you go through gloom & doom. I get them at big Fish--irrelevant.
Anyway I have Avira free edition and can't seem to call up help from them, and when I try to get into help files the program stops working. I am betting, in fact I am sure, someone here can help me. I tried looking for white files or anything similar, like ignore this always but to no avail. When they pop up I can put the dot in ignore, but that doesn't stop it from popping up again and again and again. A lot of the files start TR/Agent 23984576.etc, so I see why, but is there a way to stop this nonsense, it is very annoying and it throws me off my game!! ;-} I have a couple clips Iwill try to add for you to see. I will be so very appreciative if only I can get this from driving me nuts. Thank you so very much!!
Well I got one up if you need more let me know but the pop up are all pretty much like this and they definitely belong to my games.

I see nobody has chimed in with Scrabble.
At the moment my fav would be the PS3's F1 Championship Edition, although I wish it had an extreme to impossible difficultly choice because the defaults just aren't hard enough for me.
Scrabble is a great game, but it sounds like your too good, I just play the orginal. Course all I have is the pc to play games on.

Here's another free alternative with lots of features.
Picasa is very good, I use it all the time, they are up to version 3. It is especially good for making transparencies, but they
have a lot of good features. I would like to find one program where it was the only one I needed. But they all have one or two things I especially like about them, that the others are lacking. Oh well, another great program is Paint.net.

I do want to go to Avast or Avir, should I first uninstall all traces of AVG before down loading another ? I had Avir for a short time and was going to go to it when all this happened and I was advised to remove it. In the time you are chaging programs how vunerable are you?
I really enjoyed the video, i learned a lot and am on my way to get malwarebytes malware, it also recommends 2-3 malware programs, what do you think of spybot?

It's not recommended to have 2 firewalls at once Joanie, even if one of them is 'not working'
Have you tried uninstalling the suite, making sure everything is gone, then reinstalling it?
Not sure from your post if you are hinting that there is a problem, as you say you have been asked to go back each day to see if there is a fix?
If you decide to go down the uninstall/reinstall route and it fails to uninstall, there is a tool here
Thank you for your reply, I will give this a whirl. If it does not work I will probally go with Avir, I believe is the name and a couple good malwares. Malwarebytes sounds great. I meant to ask what you all thought of Spybot. It looks like I have a night of it. I do so appreciate evey one in this forum. It is so nice to have some where to go, and get such a response!

Hello one and all, I have AVG as my virus program, it is a full program with just about all you need to get along without problems while on the Internet and the thing about is once you install it and set it up it merrily goes it way and takes care of all. Then this happened, My firewall went out, I went in to get help, and lo & behold there was a fix and another file to delete something, I followed all thier instructions to a T, but it failed. I have not been able to get any more support, perhaps this happened to a lot, as I would get a message they could not help me now and to come back, which I have been doing, every day.
I was wondering if I can install and run a stand alone firewall for dummies and if I can what would you recommend.

This just happened all of a sudden in my emails. Any emails such as from Piriform or ZDNet or anywhere and up comes this message "this file does not have a program for preforming a action. Go to control Panel to create a association" Now I have seen this on files, but never a program. I went to control panel but could not find anything that seemed to fit. At one time, when I was reading help files, I found a referral to SDO but when I went to go back and read up on it, the page was lost and so was I. Can anyone help a poor little old lady, please

Hello everyone and how's the Christmas spirit holding up
I am wireless from room to room, but my desk top shows the error that it can't load English.dll every time I re-boot. The only time that I am aware of that it makes a difference, is when I send something from the web to my printer from my laptop (laptop has English.dll) and it prints out in tongues. I am hoping there is a simple fix, probably when I first seen it I should have done a system restore, but since it was not a full blow crash I did not think much of it, I would pick it up from MSN or whatever. Now from what I hear it is a very long hard process to get it back in working order. I have no idea if it is corrupt or gone. Guess that is a mote point.
I am running Vista Home Premium 32, on both computers, they have lots of RAM and hard drive, if any other information would be helpful let me know
Anyone have thoughts on how I might fix this ---- something I can understand? Thanks for your consideration

It seems to me to have taken over, I wanted to remove it but no matter how I try to get it off my computer I get the Error 6:the handle is invalid. I have tried CCleaner and Windows uninstall and get the same message
Can anyone give me a way to get rid of this program? I sure would appreciate any help I can get.
A couple of very nice folks tried to help me but I think I must have gotten lost---sort of a newbie here though CCleaner is one of my favorite software helper.

Unfortunately I do not know how to delete in the safe mode.
Is there anyway to get rid of this spy terminator I can handle ---the error I get as preveiously mentioned is error 6---what the heck is that anyway?
