Hey everyone, i want to create a new account on xp (or user, what ever floats your boat
) . BUt i want the account to start as an identical copy of the one i am on right now. The changes are only slight so it will be easier for me to change it that way rather than to have to go through and redo everything. How can i just copy all my settings, shortcuts, installs, ect, ect, to the new account? thanks for the help!)corjello(

i got this while trying to compare aim "add-ons"

whats that mean? and if i can fix it, how do i?
while your posting, have any suggestions of aim addons? i use aimutation but i want to upgrade to the newest aim, to use the video chat and other stuff but dont want all the extra junk.

i just realized something.. if you run the issue scanner on a computer that has never been scanned, then you get a ton of issues. but then you can run it again right after you delete all the issues and still get even more! why doesnt CCleaner find those the first time? i ran it 4 times on my friends computer before it didnt find anything.
PS I am talking about the reg cleaner not the crap cleaner.

We recently bought a new computer, very nice one i might add (media center pc! whooo hooo!!) Any ways, my brother is off to college and he wants some of our dvd collection. I refused, so i decided i should try out our new dvd burner. I downloaded CloneDVD2 and installed it, but when i put in a dvd, it says its protected by a css encoder or something. Does anyone know of a good css decoder program that i can use? thanks!

If you really want to spend money (as it seems you do) by all means go ahead. But 2GB of old ram will be faster than new 1GB stick. IT seriously wouldnt matter besides the hole in your pockets. I can not think of a single use of a computer that would use all that RAM... Unless you do some seriously intense movie editing/caputuring/producing . But even then, i dont think it could use all that

i am wondering what the best aim alternitive is right now. Currently i am running Aim version 5.2.3292 with AiMutation version 1.2.4 I like 5.2 because it was the latest version before they added all the extra "junk" and Aimutaion tabs my windows and lets me add more features that i actually use. I have heard of trillian but thought it was also cluttered with options that i wouldnt need. Any other suggestions?

well, i think it depends on if you are in need of the new features. Are you missing something that the new version has? or are you just upgrading because you can? think about that first before laying down your money.

hmmm, you seem to know what your talking about. So 2000 didnt have 2 kernels? I just xp media center and cant decide if i like the simplicity of 2000 better. Though the features are very nice on xp.

Well, they could have just not released it to the public. Its not very stable and no companies supported it, i think it was just to rake in some extra cash.

I dont understand the reason they even came out with ME.... It was most likly the worst OS they have ever made... For people still using it, God help you, and at least switch to 2000.

welcome to the forums, im sorta still new but ive been browsing here a lot. Any ways, why would you not want to fix some of the issues? I have never had a problem fixxing issues, so i trust CCleaner when it says something is wrong.
Also, you can just right click any of the issues and click "deselect all", that should fix your problem.

that sound ripper was a very good program, you should add it to the freeware sticky. It was clean and simple, yet it had a good amount of options

Well see, i need to take the audio from a video and then edit the audio. I dont really want to play through my speakers and record it through my mike, its already worse enough quality! so somehow i need to rip the audio off of my video that i have.

does anyone know of a good sound editor? one that would display the diffrent frequencies so i could take out sounds i dont want in a clip. also, that can strip the sound off of a video. Thanks

You CCleaned while your browser was open.? Close ALL your browser windows, and CClean twice.
Don't call me in the mornin'.
You can also correct this by emptying the cache from Tools>Options>Privacy>Cache - Clear, and then hitting shift+f5 on the CCleaner website to re-cache it.

i have no idea how this happened, but one of my infinite times of opening my browser, i was looking at the CCleaner forums and everything looks completlely diffrent. I am using Firefox as my browser, and in IE it looks like it alwase did... here is a pic of the veiw from Firefox (i took out all the extra stuff to reduce the size, this is the actual area i see of the site)
How can i fix this? and i have no idea what programs i ran before this happened. I just thought they changed the forums, then i looked at it in IE. Thanks for the help

When i try to check my disk for errors (Check Disk) i get a message that says the disk is being used exclusivly... I dont understand, neither microsofts or Nortons works because of this error message. I am trying to check the hardrive i am running my OS on... Also as a side note, why do many people think Norton 2005 AntiVirus is a P.O.S.?? I find the System Works as a very usefull program.

Awsome, FF is probably the best program i have ever found, besides winamp and CCleaner of course! I just cant immagine adding more features, it already does everythiing i want it to do. plus the extensions are awsome
