  1. This dosent work. The reason I want to do this is that I keep getting errors or not so good performance. So I want a fresh install and then reinstall my extensions and themes. Has anyone else done this before? DJlizzard, the reason I cant use your method is because when I installed extentions and chromedit I installed them into the main profile so they affect all profiles (this was not intentional).

Just uninstall all the extensions themes?

  2. Thats really strange  . I wonder what they did that for. Maybe they really are planning to take over the world.  :(

They are planning to take over the world but at least its not microsoft or intel takeing the world over. After all ms and intel suck.Googles stuff works, "sorta".

And it really dosn't matter about there cookies, all my cookies delete after firefox closes.

  3. If somthing were to fail, can I still boot in safe mode, and use a restore point?

Thats bascally my plan.(I had to do that so many times for messing with boot screens,winblinds... regestry entrys...

<edit1>It seems most of my regestry things are ok except one.(100%-92%) but one is at 56%.I'll try it though, maybe it will help out...</edit>

<edit2> I did it, seems very nice indeed.</edit>

  4. Uninstall firefox.

Delete the Mozilla firefox folder in programs.

Run CCleaner encase of stray registry entrys.

(I think, I never had to do a very clean uninstall of firefox either then add/remove. I've always been satisfied with it)

  5. Unfortunately, it is quite difficult to repair that kind of greivous error without an uberleet technician present.  Most of the time, even with a technician, it's a 'no'.  The kind of error that causes what I described above is usually irrecoverable; most of the time you simply have to replace the entire registry with a previous backup.

In other words, I shouldn't run the program because it may screw up my computer completely. And can there be a .reg backup on the desktop of the user or will it be so curropt i can't even get to the desktop (if this were to happen).

    I have massive regestry fears.

  6. Hating IE for active X isn't the only reason; it hates valid html, it dosn't support full png or css2 support and its way outdated. For gods sakes even if some billion dollar company makes somthing dosn't mean its the best; (main reason people seem to buy crappy stuff (macaffe, norton, etc)

Also,at the current time, im using Norton :-( I was about to switch to AVG but then we got the new subscription to Norton yearly, when it expires I'm going to get AVG or Avast! etc.

  7. Firefox uses memory based upon how much RAM you have on your computer and how much is available. If it finds out that you have 512MB of ram and your only using 64MB of ram, its going to use more ram then needed to improve performance, why? Because free RAM is waisted RAM.

And yes there are ways to make it go down to 24k or less.

(Found the above "facts?" in a thread in MozzilaZine.
