.......last two builds. Using cCleaner Lite. Uninstalled previous version and reinstalled latest today. Opera does not show in the applications panel. Any suggestions???

that looks horrible. you might wanna make your colors 32-bit .
If you can't be helpful or kind at least have the decency to be vague!
The thumbnail doesn't do it justice. Looks pretty good on my old WindowsME system with 24 bit color.

........yup! You're correct there.
Had a batch file for an older version of Opera that worked nicely. Someone on this forum supplied it to me, doesn't work with 9 tho.
Anyone else have any suggestions??

The only thing I can think of which probably isn't the case would be if Opera's registry data wasn't in the default location:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Opera Software
.......Yup, the Opera registry data is in the default location.

......the beginning NOW is exactly the same. (minus the red of course) see attached screenshot.. When I leave Opera8 single user, unchecked, cCleaner works fine. As soon as I check it No Go!

cut and pasted the info from Andavari's post into winapp2.ini as there was nothing in the file re: Opera. Still having the same problem tho!
-
