Why won't CCleaner clear the multitude of duplicate Micrsoft Edge files without disabling Edge - I don't understand why?

This week, CCleaner driver updates crashed two of my laptops - the Samsung Book3 using windows 11 was unrecoverable - so is having to be reloaded with a windows - means I lost all my files on that laptop that weren't backup. The other crash was on my older Lenovo Yoga using windows 10 - luckily that did recover itself. Moral of this story - I won't use CCleaner driver updates again!!
