Can anyone shed some light on how to get your stored payment method removed? I have emailed multiple times. At times begin told they cant due to having an active subscription despite ive already paid for it in full or being told they remove them but will block them which will then mean i cannot renew my subscription come time for renewal. From my understanding i thought that legally under consumer protections laws and privacy laws people can revoke their consent to stored information and require them to be removed and that legally they cannot refuse? I also don't believe that having an active subscription means anything either as I know of other products and services that do not require this. Apple is one example i can think of. It first took ccleaner to reply to my email after over a month! and ive gone back and forth multiple times but keep getting told sure but you have to cancel your subscription etc etc? Surely this is not legal for them to do?
I was also told at one point ccleaner has nothing to do with it and that they actually cannot do anything about the storing of information and that it is cleverbridge. So i emailed cleverbridge and I am not getting anywhere. Help!
