nukecad,
Thanks for your response. I understand how the programming works. However, you did not answer my question. I will restate:
WHERE is CCleaner picking up the name of Microsoft Corp. for these tasks?
hazelnut,
Thanks for your response. Here's what my defrag.exec shows:
I am using CCleaner, Version 6.0 9.10300. When I open Tools>Start Up>Scheduled Tasks, I see the following:
Key = Task
Program = ScheduledDefrag
Publisher = Microsoft Corp.
File = %windir%\system32\defrag.exe -c
Key = Task
Program = ManualDefrag
Publisher = Microsoft Corp.
ALL of the other tasks published by Microsoft show Publisher = Microsoft Corporation.
Using Resource Hacker on defrag.exe shows the Company Name as Microsoft Corporation.
Task Scheduler shows the Author of both of the above tasks as Microsoft Corporation.
I have NO Registry keys showing Microsoft Corp.
Where is CCleaner picking up the name of Microsoft Corp. for these tasks?
Thank You.
