Latest version Fails to run

DataKnight

  • 2 weeks later...

I have now discovered that it fails when run from the Desktop ie clicking on the Icon. If I run it from the "Cmd" window it runs as it should but I still get and error when I tried to access the "Close" option. I am running the latest .032 beta.

I have attached the log file that I got from running under the CMD window when Recuva subsequently failed.

I'm also getting an error. Unlike DataKnight, in my case, the difference is that it fails to initiate from the cmd line and the location doesn't seem to matter...it simply fails at any call. I hope it's a simple fix for you. I'll be looking for the next update.

Just an update;

My prob with it seems to be specific to w2k. I have no prob with it initiating in XP. In 3 diff appliances with w2k, no log is generated but I get this;

recuva1.gif

However, when profiling with either DW or Olly, it does initiate but with errors shown;

The errors resemble that which Buzzzzzby is recieving...ntdll.dll & kernel32.dll threads.

If I can provide any other data please let me know.
