MemomK
I recently switched to Bitwarden from a different password manager. I use CCleaner browser. When I went to CCleaner browser approved add-ons, Bitwarden shows as approved and directs me to the Chrome Store. However, I get a drop down stating that Chrome recommends installing extensions etc in Chrome. I politely click no thank you and that goes away. However, on the Bitwarden page, it has a splash bar that says Install Chrome and the add extension button is grayed out. If I go to Bitwarden directly, it has a list of browsers but does not show CCleaner browser. I tried to sneak around that as I know Vivaldi, one of the choices, is Chrome based, but got the same screen showing up - use Chrome and the install button grayed out. Help!! This is totally frustrating!! I hope somebody can help! Thanks in advance.
MemomK
As a follow-up, I got back on my laptop computer and tried once again to download Bitwarden, only this time I did a couple of things first. I noticed a password manager (New) in the drop down menu of CCleaner Browser, so I opened that up and explored to see what that was all about. I noticed that my password manager that was controlling the settings on the laptop was my old password manager, so I disabled it. I then went to extensions and chose See CCleaner Add-Ons. Once there I searched for Bitwarden, picked it and then chose Add Extension (all of which I had done yesterday minus the new password manager in drop down menu). This time when I was taken to the Chrome store, the Download/Install button was active and the only "warning" was the recommendation to install in Chrome which I just ignored. Clicked on the Download button and it installed with no problem. I don't know if the new feature of Password available is what caused the problem because of settings there or if the browser was in a better mood today and wanted to cooperate. All of this is in case somebody else is having the same problem - they can then try this to see if it helps.
