I would like to thank ccleaner for one of the best cleaners around, for a change its 100% free, installs very easily and as the ad says "does what it says on the tin". I have recently started up as a self-employed pc engineer and to give an example of how good it is: I got called to a slow running xp pc just over a year old, it was the usual problem they had not cleaned out any temp files since day one. I tried using the xp disc cleaner, but after waiting for 10minutes it had found aprox 5%, I gave up and used ccleaner -it cleaned out aproxx 1gb of useless files in about 45min (this included installing it on 5 drives as well). With the xp cleaner I would still be there. I have used it on my own pc with no problems - I dont even analze and check the files it is removing , I just click on cleaner and have had no problems ( and I run a multidisc system, that has been buggered by other cleaners). I reccomend CCleaner to all my customers, and I am just going to make a donation to ccleaner - which I suggest any one who uses this should do, after all where woudl you get this quality for only ?10.00 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The slim and basic builds are marked as "for system admins and advanced users. They are not for distribution or mirroring." It does not come with any source code, so you cant inspect or modify it. Firstly you do not have to install the yahoo toolbar, secondly I do not know what slim and basic builds you are talking about -as far as I can see there is only one build of ccleaner to download, and anyway why would you want to inspect or modify the program it works fine? You can run it on any system as long as it is run as it comes. I think that you want too much from a first class free program - unless really you are upset because you cant modify it and distrinbute it under your name(possibly for a monetary reward) ! The slim build which most people here use is English only. When you come to download CCleaner choose "other builds" http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds.aspx Snap!
