Pop up on my screen said icon link on my desktop would no longer work to open the file so could delete it--which I did. Now I can not open my Cleaner at all. How can I resolve this issue. Moderators mta Posted June 30, 2018 Moderators Share Posted June 30, 2018 let's start from scratch and see if it helps... uninstall your current version first. then go into the Program Files folder for CC and delete its contents (keep the .ini file if you have customised settings) download the latest build from here; https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds reboot the PC then install CC from your downloaded file. then go into CC, Options, About, Upgrade to Pro, and type in your license key. Backup now & backup often.It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
