Duplicate Files

I've just run CCleaner to check for duplicate files on my computer and it's come up with loads!! How safe is it to remove duplicated files?

all depends on the files in question.
if system files in system folders, way too dangerous to proceed.
and even if they are personal files, only you can tell if that holiday snap in the Christmas folder is the same of the one in the Holidays folder.

all I'll say is proceed with caution and have a recent system image just in case.
